My Mission Is...

Since SGMES opened in 1912, learning has taken on many forms. While Covid-19 has changed some of "how" we teach and learn, the most important aspects have not changed; we remain committed to offering a rigorous and robust academic program, attending to the emotional and social needs of our students and being intentional about the ways we stay connected as a Catholic school family.

During this time of uncertainty, SGMES has implemented various programs and procedures to to keep our staff, students and families safe: (please click the title "My Mission Is..." above to learn more)

*We offer a well-rounded and meaningful distance learning program for students in TK-8th grade. Please visit www.sgmesdistancelearning.com for more information.

*Most business issues can be addressed over the phone (626-281-2454) or by email. Mrs. Garcia's email is egarcia@sgmission.org (principal) and Mrs. Munoz's email is emunoz@sgmission.org (office manager).  If you need to come to the Office, we require that all visitors above the age of 2 wear a mask at all times and respect social distance and directional signage. DO NOT come to campus if you have flu-like symptoms, a fever or have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. The office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm.

*While on campus, staff and cohorts of students adhere to all best practice regulations for the prevention and spread of COVID-19. This includes but is not limited to frequent hand washing and sanitizing, the wearing of masks, the maintaining of social distance and daily temperature checks and health screenings.
