Tap Dance Club
Mission's Tap Dance Club is being formed. An information meeting for students (in grades 4-8) who are interested in joining is being held on Monday, December 16th from 3:15-3:45 pm in the Library. Parents are encouraged to attend. Thanks to Ms. Murphy for sharing her talents and passion for tap dancing!

Our Drama Club will begin its first "season" this week. There is a meeting for the children at lunch time on Tuesday, December 10th for interest and a full session will be on Friday, December 13th after school. Details will be sent home to the interested families. Special thanks to Ms. Kazan for coordinating this group and Mrs. Rocio Martinez for assisting the club. Both are sharing their passion for drama.
San Gabriel Mission is forming a Speech/Debate Team. The introductory meeting is on Tuesday, December 10th at 3:15 pm in the Library. Parents and students are asked to attend. Thanks for Ms. Johnson for coordinating our team and sharing her love of speech competition!
Fourth Grade Students Attend Concert at Disney Concert Hall
On Wednesday, October 30th, Mission Elementary's students attended the Pasadena Showcase House 60th Youth Concert, "Building Music Wing on Wing". The concert was performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Daniel Cohen, and featured singers and dancers. Our children joined over 2000 other students from schools all across Los Angeles.
New Daisy Troop hosts Nut Sale
Our very own Daisy Girl Scout Troop will be selling nuts after the Sunday Masses on November 10 and November 17. Please support our new troop!
National Make A Difference Day
Thanks to Susie Escamilla and her family for sponsoring a group from San Gabriel Mission High School on the National Make a Difference Day. The group worked under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Escamilla in clearing and cleaning the area that will be our new TK/K playground for San Gabriel Mission Elementary School. They also helped to move rocks to prepare for a new area for the teachers and students to have a special outdoor lunch area.
