Groundbreaking for the Centennial Garden - April 17, 2013 The Centennial Garden is taking shape. Tomorrow concrete will be poured for the pool in front of the statue. Then the large rocks that will form the planter areas will be put into place. It is exciting to have the children and our families watch form each day. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Centennial Garden and have their family name or a memorial remembrance placed in the garden area, may do so through the school office. We are grateful for your help in placing a statue of St. Dominic in our school yard. It was 100 years ago that the first Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose enrolled the first students in September 1912 and they are still serving at Mission San Gabriel. |
